The 20th Summit of Business Leaders, held on the island of Margarita, has brought together international investors from Panama, Suriname, Lebanon, and Colombia. More than 100 companies from Nueva Esparta gathered at the Wyndham Concorde Hotel in Porlamar for the event, providing a platform for brands to showcase their products and services and establish mutual business relationships, contributing to the local economy.
During the summit, projects totaling $10 million were identified, signaling a promising future for Venezuela to become a beacon of development for the entire Caribbean region. The Special Economic Zone of Nueva Esparta has successfully attracted international investors, as evidenced by the presence of delegations from embassies and investors from Panama, Colombia, Suriname, and Lebanon.
The President of the Chamber of Commerce of the island, José Gregorio Rodríguez, emphasized the event’s goal of highlighting Nueva Esparta as a hub for investment opportunities in science, technology, education, and new developments. He stressed the importance of not limiting the ecosystem to local entrepreneurs but welcoming companies from the mainland to explore the diverse areas of development in the region.
